Dr. Dino Holmquist is the Chief Science Officer for the US Dairy industry. He brings over a decade of experience in dairy analytical testing and a strong commitment to food safety and quality assurance.

In his role, Dino collaborates closely with customers, industry leaders, and dairy organizations to elevate standards and ensure the highest levels of food safety and quality for consumers across the United States. His expertise drives innovation and best practices throughout the dairy industry value chain, from producers and processors to retailers.

He began with Eurofins over a decade ago in Denmark in dairy analytical testing. His extensive experience spans across Europe and China, providing him with a global perspective on dairy industry dynamics. For the past six years, Dino has been based in the US, serving as Vice President of Business Development, where he established himself as a respected figure within the dairy community.

Dr. Holmquist earned his PhD in Molecular Biology from Aarhus University in Denmark, showcasing his deep understanding of the science behind dairy testing and analysis. He also completed the Eurofins International High Potential – Top Graduate program in 2016, which broadened his leadership skills and industry insights.

Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Holmquist is a passionate advocate for health and healthy foods. He resides in Florida with his family and enjoys exploring new culinary experiences, reading, and engaging in outdoor activities.

For over 18 years, Steven Sievert has served Director of Technical Services for National DHIA and Manager of Quality Certification Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of National DHIA, and calls Red Wing, MN home. Steven has provided leadership to DHI organizations and allied industry partners in milk recording, device design and operation, and quality management systems on regional, national and international levels.

In this role, Steven oversees the certification program for all DHI field service operations, meter repair and calibration center operations, and DHI milk analysis laboratories in the United States,
Canada, and Mexico. The ultimate mission is to provide an assurance of accuracy in data used by farmers and agricultural industry organizations for management decisions, genetic evaluations and research.

In addition to his multi-faceted role at National DHIA, Steven also serves as Chair of the ICAR (International Committee on Animal Recording) Measuring, Recording and Sampling Devices Subcommittee. Based in Utrecht, Netherlands, the work undertaken by ICAR parallels the work at National DHIA/QCS and are critical to both data quality and DHI organization day-to-day operations. Steven also represents the DHI industry in the US on the 3-A Sanitary Standards Work Group for Farm and Raw Milk, working to ensure usability and compliance of meters and sensors with these standards.

Steven currently serves on the Board of Directors for the American Guernsey Association along with serving as the Superintendent of the International Guernsey Show for 32 years at World
Dairy Expo. Further, Steven still has a passion for the show ring, both as a judge and at the halter.

Andy brings over 30 years of commercial, scientific, and technical (QA/Regulatory/Food Safety) experience to ADPI where he is Vice President of Technical Services. Prior to ADPI, Andy most recently worked for Newton Enterprises as VP & Senior Consultant. He has also held positions at Hoogwegt U.S./Lone Star Dairy, Archer Daniels Midland Company, Akorn Pharmaceuticals, and Biosys Biotech, Inc. It should be noted that during his tenure at Hoogwegt US/Lone Star Dairies, Andy served on ADPI’s Technical and Standards Committees.

Andy is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and holds both a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology, and a Master of Business Administration. He is a current member of the American Chemical Society, and the American Society for Quality. In addition, he is a Certified Lead Auditor & Practitioner – Safe Quality Food(SQF) Institute; Certified Lead Auditor – HACCP & ISO 9000; and a member of Beta Gamma Sigma International Business Honor Society.
