Prior to joining ADPI, KJ served as the Ingredient Applications Program Coordinator for the Wisconsin Center for Dairy Research (CDR). She has over 25 years of experience in product development including her past positions at Ridgeview Industries, the Keebler Company, and as a consultant to the baking industry. KJ has served as a member of ADPI’s Center of Excellence since its inception in 2012 In her previous position at CDR, she provided technical support for U.S. dairy processors and end users on dairy ingredient functionality and applications. A significant activity involves the negotiation of container terminal leases in collaboration with the Cargo and Industrial Real Estate Division. On the efficiency side, Cargo Marketing plays an integral part of implementing the Port Optimizer™ program, which provides supply chain stakeholders with added visibility to the supply chain. Caris played an active role in the research and development of the Port’s Alternative Maritime Power® (AMP®) program, a groundbreaking technology to reduce ship emissions, launched at the Port of Los Angeles in June 2004. Instead of burning diesel fuel while berthed, AMP ships “plug in” to shoreside electrical power, which results in the elimination of two tons of air emissions each day a ship is docked. In September of 2006, Caris was nominated to convene one of the International Organization for Standardization’s working groups, Ships and Marine Technology (ISO/TC8/SC3), which is responsible for the development of publicly available specifications for onshore power supply – specifically AMP. Caris joined the Port in 2002 after 15 years with Canada Maritime Agencies, Ltd. (part of CP Ships) where, as Regional Director California, he was responsible for the organization and management of the California Sales & Service offices. His experience in the steamship industry dates back to 1982 when he was a commercial delegate for Compagnie Maritime Belge (CMB) in Antwerp, Belgium. Caris is a member of the California Association of Port Authorities' Tariff & Practices Committee. He is a former president of the Los Angeles/Long Beach Propeller Club and former board member of the Steamship Association of Southern California and Los Angeles Transportation Club. Lauren was born and raised in Petaluma, CA to a family that did not come from an agricultural background. Thanks to the help of her childhood babysitter’s family that had a dairy, she was exposed to dairy farming and cattle at a young age and quickly found her passion. She is a graduate of California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo with a double major in Agricultural Business and Dairy Science Production. In addition to helping with the day-to-day operations of her family farm, she is a Vice President – Key Relationship Manager at Farm Credit West in Hanford, CA. She manages a loan portfolio that primarily consists of dairy operations. In her spare time, she can be found spending time with family, friends, and fellow agriculturalists. She strongly believes in investing in the future of agriculture, specifically youth. He handles all the technical matters relating to grade standards for dairy products and regulatory matters including food labeling, food safety issues, and allergens. Mr. Meyer is currently serving as Chairman for the Whey Protein Research Consortium (WPRC) and serves as ADPI liaison to various other industry associations. Dan is ADPI staff liaison to various Committees and Task Force groups and leads the planning efforts for the Dairy Ingredient Seminar, Global Cheese Technology Forum, Membrane Technology Forum and ADPI’s activities with IFT Exhibits. In her first year as General Manger, she effectively led the District through the implementation of is second-ever Strategic Plan, outlining the District’s five year priorities. Only three months into her tenure the world was struck by the COVID-19 pandemic thus requiring her focus to include navigating a team of 458 employees through a new way of conducting business. Known for tackling problems pragmatically and encouraging an environment of innovation, Reimers implemented new initiatives and practices in her first year as General Manager of TID to propel the District, its business functions and its customer service capabilities to the next level, including TID’s entry into the Western Energy Imbalance Market and the implementation of a new Customer to Meter (C2M) system. She has played an integral role in the creation of the West Turlock Groundwater Sustainability Agency, in support of the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA) as well as the Water Sales Agreement with the Stanislaus Regional Water Authority, which will aid efforts to ensure water supply reliability to the people of the region while improving conditions in the Turlock groundwater Subbasin. As General Manger, she continues to be a driving force in the relicensing of the Don Pedro Dam Project with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and Voluntary Agreement talks with the state.
